First, the 2027 Laconia Motorcycle Week will be the 104th anniversary of the New Hampshire rally. Next, given how long the event has been going on, it is no surprise that Laconia is the “Oldest National Motorcycle Rally.”

History of the Laconia Bike Week
Next, here is some of the history of the Laconia Bike Week. In 1916, a couple of hundred riders held a small event in Weirs Beach. Over the following years, the main events at the biker rally were racing and hill climbs.
Then, in 1923, the Loudon Classic Race became an official event on the Gypsy Tour. Note: If you are unfamiliar with the phrase “gypsy tour,” it was a term used by the Federation of American Motorcyclists (the original name of the American Motorcyclist Association). In short, a gypsy tour is often called a “motorcycle rally” today.
Fast-forward several decades, and the Laconia Motorcycle Rally is now one of the world’s biggest and best rallies.
What is going on at Motorcycle Week?
Details for the 2026 Laconia Motorcycle Week have not been announced. But here’s what typically happens.
First, motorcycle racing and hill climbs are still a big part of Motorcycle Week in Laconia. Next, if you are looking for racing, check out New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Another big racing location for Laconia’s hill climbs is Gunstock for the Pro/Ams.
The rally central for Laconia Bike Week 2026 is on the Boardwalk on Lakeside Ave. in Weirs Beach. However, attractions are happening across the entire Lakes Region. One thing you’ll enjoy is the beautiful riding scenery in the Laconia area and the Lakes Region.
Other attractions at Motorcycle Week in Laconia include gypsy tours, bike shows, and motorcycle rides. Other events during the motorcycle rally include bands, poker runs, custom bike builders, displays, contests, and swap meets.
As with any large motorcycle event, many manufacturers and vendors will be present. During the event, many special events will take place at Laconia motorcycle dealerships, bars, and other venues.
Finally, most of Laconia Motorcycle Week is free, but some venues charge fees.
